Jessterw
Teleport Public Preview 1 Information and Download I'll quote the official line: teleport is a simple utility to let you use one single mouse and keyboard to control several of your Macs.Simply reach the edge of your screen, and your mouse teleports to your other Mac! The pasteboard can even be synchronized between the computers. teleport is currently a Public Preview. Please feel free to contact me for comments, suggestions, bug reports, etc.. teleport is freeware. You can freely distribute it without modification, on its original disk image. However, if you want to support the author, you can make a donation by clicking on the link below. Thank you! Looks pretty sweet and should be an interesting bit of software to watch as its development progresses. Known issues appear to be (quoted): * No encryption of transfers * Right modifiers do not work * Can't take control of slave after a network disconnection * Still moving mouse when no more control * Cmd-tab, cmd-ctrl-esc, expos?, cmd-shift-3 and more do not work on the slave but on the master * Keyboard mapping problems * Multiple monitors support not present * 10.2 compatibility problems * Fast user switching issues Information and Download

Jessterw
Interesting. Hadn't heard of that one before, but I'm definately going to have to check it out now (thanks for the Mac link too). @tHaCuBe: The point here is that VNC/Remote Desktop allow you to control another computer (on the same monitor). These two software applications allow you to, effectively, have dual monitors without a dual monitor card or two cards installed in one system, as well as keeping one from having to purchase a KVM switch for using one mouse/keyboard on multiple systems. Tim Dorr Veteran Posted February 19, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 19, 2004 I've done this using Win2VNC with my laptop. http://www.hubbe.net/~hubbe/win2vnc.html The only issue is the fact that I have dual monitors on my PC. Things get all wacky that way...
