Video Card Question about having 2

I Have a PowerMac G4 400mhz with AGP graphics and it currently has the ATI Rage 128pro 16mb Video card I want to know if I install a PCI video card into one of the avaliable PCI slots will it work alongside the AGP card or If I remove the AGP card will I be able to install a PCI video card is this even possible ?? thanks again for the advise

well I hav agp + pci card setup on my pc and I don't see why would you have probs on mac. so go for it.

a thing to note: mouse moves over both screens, but you can't extend a window from one to anothre, in other words can't maximize over 2 monitors (actually this is why I got it, I can have 2 apps maximized and don't have to alt-tab between)

Yes you can have dual display cards and they work find together.

I'm not sure what lexor is talking about. I have dual displays right now with this safari window fully using the real estate on both screens. I just dragged from the corner as usual. Maybe it's something to do with maximize on windows vs zoom on OS X?

do you have 2 video cards or do you have dual monitors on 1 card?

if you hit max with 2 card setup, the window will only fill one monitor (the one most of the window is in at time you hit max)

Hitting maximize alone won't do it for anything, dual card or one card. Dragging the corner does allow the stretching across screens though.
