mac15
It doesn't matter what order, and most of the time 3ivx is better. If you wanna watch Divx video then get VLC (VideoLan Client) its a great video player.
Steve
Personally I use VLC and MPlayer for this content. I installed these codecs previously, for Quicktime, but it messed up default MPEG4 decoding. The mp4 created by my fone, couldn't be decoded properly, with these codecs installed. As soon as i trashed them, Quicktime began working fine once more. Have a look for both apps on Macupdate.com
sdenike
hmm well on my prior install of os x on my laptop i read somewhere on the boards about installing one first or sometihng for quicktime .. i had it working before, Im not a big fan of vlc as it didn't play a lot of stuff on my system :(
NeoMayhem
I like Mplayer a lot more. But installing DivX and 3ivX will work with QT. 3ivX will handle the video, and DivX will do the MP3 audio. There are AC3 decoders and things available for QT also. shodan
Yes, I have 3ivX, and DivX installed on QT, and also the AC3 Decoder, it works fine with divx, unfortunatly it don't support SVCD files.... does anyone managed to see SVCD files on Quicktime? NeoMayhem
SVCD are Mpeg2, you can get a decoder for that, but it sucks big time, I would definitely use Mplayer for (s)VCDs
