Rage
This may be a really stupid question, and one that I should be able to answer for myself since I'm a hardware systems major, but is there any way to increase the amount of memory an onboard video card uses? ie. I want to jack my video memory from 8 up to 16 or even 24 or 32 if possible.
zyfer
looks like you have the same motherboard I got on my older computer it would be stupid to even try to upgrade it. those upgrades cost too much it would be cheaper to buy a PCI video card besides that system is an old Socket 7 those are hardly used much anymore but are still cool
martyr
You can't, you're using a motherboard with a soldered on video card!
Rage
I realize that, but you can change how much shared memory (up to 8MB) that the video card uses. I just wondered if there might be some Bios setting that I was overlooking that allowed me to increase the amount of shared memory that was allocated for the purpose of onboard hardware. martyr
Look for an option in the BIOS specifying AGP aperture size, that controls the amount of memory the AGP bus is able to address.
