InfiniteSD
I have to admit, I've been out of the game for a while now, but probably 10 or so years ago I use to mod all the icons, Windowblinds, wallpaper, RocketDock, ObjectDock, etc... I spent hours just messing with the PC to get it to look different, then messed with it some more. For someone like me who's been out of the game for a while, what are some of the best current programs to use to change or mod the OS? Is there a list, I can't see any sticky threads. Also the only sites I remember to get these were Wincustomize, and Deviantart. Are there any others out there now? xMorpheousx416 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1440067-current-sites-to-get-icons-wallpapers-etc/ Share on other sites
Nick H. Supervisor Posted April 5 Supervisor Share Posted April 5 I've installed Rainmeter on my Windows 10 install, and it offers some neat theming options for the desktop. And for wallpapers I go to Wallhaven which has a huge and ever-increasing collection of decent wallpapers. Aside from those, I don't really bother customising Windows. If nothing else, I'm rarely using it long enough to notice the customisations I might make. There's also the issue that various modification tools can break anytime Microsoft releases an update, so it really isn't worth the time for me. xMorpheousx416
Same. I haven't built custom exes to use since StyleXP... and then after that, WindowBlinds for XP. Other than some cool wallpaper changes, my desktop has been clean and bland since Windows 7.
