XST1
I am having a problem in Fedora Core 2 test1. I need to find the firstboot log but am having difficulties. I need the log file because i am submitting a bug to redhat. I tried var/log/messages but there is no trace of any firstboot. Any suggestions? Also, heres the bug im submitting with the current messages: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=115755
markwolfe Veteran Posted February 26, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 26, 2004 Perhaps in /tmp/ ? I am googling for the answer, but cannot see it so far. Worst case, do a find...

markwolfe Veteran Posted February 26, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 26, 2004 Doesn't RedHat/Fedora have a special app called "firstboot"? Perhaps this proggy has a special log... I don't know... Did the Original Poster get what he was looking for?
MrStaticVoid
What is in /etc/sysconfig/firstboot? I know it's not a standard place for logs, but it: "tells the Setup Agent application not to run on subsequent reboots." Maybe it has some info in it.
