mac os x question

Recommended Posts

okay ... here's a really nubist question. Keep in mind that I never used a mac until today.

first question: In windows, using IE, you can do a right click and select 'save target as...' How do you do that with Mac OS X?

second question: In mac os x, how do you download a .dmg file? There's a decoder that I need and its file extension is .dmg.

Thanks.

Right click works on OS X to. Press Crtl+Click if you only have a one button mouse.

Just double click the dmg file, if that doesn't work open it with the Disk Utility app ;)

If you're saving the target but want it to go to the default location (the desktop or whatever you've changed it too) then you can just hold down Option while you click and it will save the target to disk.
