My second mac problem :(

Recommended Posts

Right. I fixed the ipod after last night, and used it today without a problem. Now I just plugged it into my ibook to sync up and it deleted everything off the ipod and re-downloaded my entire library. So I tried it again and the same thing happened. wtf.

This is getting weird, how my ipod performed better under windows, but thats OT.

That's how the iPod works be default in iTunes on the PC too.

You can set the iPod to not sync automatically in iTunes when you plug it in.

What did you loose btw? Was it data stored on it outside of your music or were you trying to sync with multiple computers with different music libraries? You can only sync with one library at a time.

If you want to sync with multiple libraries, use something other than iTunes. They do this to discourage Piracy.

the ipod is synced to a library. Apparently the jazz you did last night made it forget what library it was synced too. When you connected it would display a dialog along the lines of "this ipod is not synced with this library, would you like to sync?" if you click yes then it does exactly that.

This is expected behavior.

If you don't like this then you can set your ipod to manually sync.

aha I think its because the airport extreme card wasnt seated properly. I have taken the paperclip thing out because it was in the way of the keyboard, and it must've moved :(

Yea, that can cause a lot of problems. :p

The iPod is normally better-behaved than this. My iPod is very good to me. Lol. :D
