am_fek
I've tried a couple of folder sync tools and I was wondering if anyone here has any particular recommendations about what works best. Basically what I want to be able to do is plug my Powerbook into the LAN at home and have it up/download the newest content so everything is up-to-date on both machines. Anyone know of any good software for this? One I tried is a commercial-grade program that is probably a little more than I need, and the other is fairly clunky (it can't sync across a network).. so yeah if anyone does this and has a good tool they'd recommend, please suggest it. Cheers :)
Cowpie
Why not just use isync and your .mac account(assuming you have one)
am_fek
On what, iDisk? The folders I want to sync are larger than 100 megabytes :\
danbalsh
This is possible using some Unix commands and maybe even an Apple Script, but I don't even know where to begin :( I found this [MacOSXHints.com] that might help, it talks about Rsync which is a Unix command that might be able to help you. Edit: If you want to spend a bit of money this looks VERY good! and only $20 :D
