    • Skull and Bones, Destiny 2 expansions, and more join Xbox Free Play Days this weekend by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe With the weekend fast approaching, Microsoft has kicked off a new wave of games to try out as a part of its Free Play Days program. The games available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, and Core members to try are Skull and Bones, Breakout Beyond, Blades of Fire, and Atomicrops. At the same time, Destiny 2's entire expansions portfolio has been temporarily unlocked too. As always, any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward. From the bunch, Skull and Bones is Ubisoft's latest live service attempt, and this one is set during the golden age of piracy, letting you battle it out against AI for loot and prestige using various sailing ships. Being an always-online title, cooperative play is a focus here, which can lead to massive naval battles. Next, Atomicrops lands as a bullet hell title with a farming twist. You have a daily cycle of farming during the day and fast-paced combat at night using what you grew. Action game fans also have Blades of Fire to try out, a third-person adventure with a body-part-targeting combat system and a focus on custom-made weapons. A new version of the 70s arcade game Breakout is here to try too. Titled Breakout Beyond, the new game has players progressing sideways through massive layers of bricks with 72 levels to beat, and two-player co-op play is enabled too. Lastly, until July 22, Xbox players will be able to jump into every Destiny 2 expansion and all three episodes for no extra charge. Any earned rewards and currencies will be yours to keep following the open access event too. Here are the announced games and their platforms: Skull and Bones - $7.99 (Xbox Series X|S) Breakout Beyond - $11.99 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) Blades of Fire - $47.99 (Xbox Series X|S) Atomicrops - $2.99 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) This Free Play Days promotion will end on Sunday, July 20, at 11:59 pm PT. Following this, expect another round of games to enter the program next Thursday, July 24.
