Garry
Looks more like IE is completely ignoring CSS, rather than Javascript. I'm on a Mac right now, so I can't look through the IE options for CSS, but I think there's something related to CSS in either the first or second tab of Tools > Internet Options. If not, have a look at the CSS related options in the Advanced Section of IE's prefs.
Chr1zt1an
yep, now its all as default...and nothing changes :( edit: @Garry: its weird but, sites like csszengarden.com works fine. @gameguy: not works.. no change.. :( Edited March 3, 2004 by Chr1zt1an

[ timko ]
thanks simon.. but its all unchecked.. :( i cant find a solution... i've installed Sun Java and nothing. You do NOT need Sun Java Runtime or SDK in order to be able to use Javascript. Most modern browsers have Javascript functionality built in.
Chr1zt1an
i know that [ timko ], but i installed Sun Java because i was thinking that the Microsoft VM was corrupted..or wrong.. or something. Now, i dont know what to do.. i have tried many things without results. Thanks all for your help..
[ timko ]
Yes but even the Microsoft Java VM has nothing to do with Javascript. I know it sounds like it should since they both feature Java in their name but Java and Javascript are two totally different things. One is an object orientated programming language and the other is a scripting language. Some of the syntax in each may be similar and both can give websites a bit more functionality but that's where the similarities end.

Banjo
Its the frigging text size!View > Text Size > Click Medium. Fixed! Jeez.. So the text size kills JavaScript things and adds stuff like underlines to links? You have have Javascript disabled. Neowin uses a script to select a style sheet for your browser but doesn't load one if Javascript is disabled. Turn JS back on by going to tools> internet opetions> security tab, select internet zone and click custom level. Scroll to the scripting part near the bottom and in the active scripting part, set it to enable or prompt (prompt only if you want a popup each time something wants to use JS - I don't recommend it... extremely annoying!:wacko:o:)

Banjo
Try resetting the IE security settings for the internet zone to medium and see what it does. Also try an adware and virus scan.
