The *old* server could barely survive. This one is getting tweaked and is doing fine (there were loads under 1 and over 500 concurent users on just over the weekend). However, for mail purposes, there would need to be a new server. Plus, it would never be @neowin.net for a variety of reasons. If anything, there would be something like @members.neowin.net or @my.neowin.net. And, because of costs, it probably wouldn't be free either.
