danbalsh
I think you need Microsoft Office installed to be able to remove the ad's.

Koyder
Try installing the Office Test Drive and disabling the banner. Maybe the setting will stay unchanged after you uninstall the Test Drive.

Si Veteran Posted March 4, 2004 Author Veteran Share Posted March 4, 2004 Well it works while the trial is installed (and even while it is in the trash) but as soon as I emptied the trash, back came the ads :(

NeoMayhem
Office Mac is better then the windows one, and 2004 looks like it will be even better. Powerpoint seams to have the most improvements over the win32 version, but Keynote is still a better program.
Elliott
but Keynote is still a better program Agreed. Keynote is awesome. :D
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted March 5, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 5, 2004 You could just use Adium. Adium can connect to MSN, as well as other IM services.
SFNE Freak
You could just use Adium. Adium can connect to MSN, as well as other IM services. He may not want to use Alpha-stage software.
Bling3k12
I never really liked third-party programs (in response to using the official application), but Adium, as an alpha, is very well into development. It's missing a few things here and there, but they're constantly working on it, daily builds and such, and I'd almost use it as my main IM, once it gets Direct Connection (AIM) and File Transfer (AIM) support. Plus it looks sweet... the new themes thing is sweet!
