Apple Support is FAST!

Recommended Posts

I figured I'd share this little story because I'm so very impressed.

So, I broke my shift key the other day on my iBook. Given that my iBook was within warranty, I gave good ol' Apple a call. I talked to one of their guys and got a new iBook keyboard shipped out to me. This was about 6PM. So, next day, at about 10AM: Ding Dong! Who's at the door? DHL with my new keyboard! Apple had my keyboard replacement in my hands in 16 hours! I was totally, and completely, blown away. Not only was the guy on the phone really nice and helpful (no questions asked about how I broke it, either), they got it there waaaaay before I would have ever imagined.

Go Apple!

lucky tim..think they'll send me a new itunes in 16 hours? :(

Considering you have user-installed RAM in your machine, I'm imclinded to believe that is the cause of your problems.

Edit: On a side note, I now have to shut down this machine. There goes my 75 days of update! :o

I've always had good experiences with Apple's support.

They had a free return box at my door when I wanted to get my ipod fixed, but I blew that because I fixed it(or so I thought) and didn't send it in only to have it die on me after the warranty ended, but Apple was going to fix it no questions asked while it was up can't ask for much more.

And XP got screwed up so I reformatted, and forgot to de-authorize my computer before doing so through iTunes, and they set it back.

I like thier support. Don't have an apple pc, but I think they run a good support section.

According to Consumer Reports, Apple has the best support out of all PC Companies. I luckily haven't broke my Powerbook or iPod yet to find out.

yeah my two experiences have been blazing fast.

1. logic board failed, took it to apple store at 3pm one day. they overnighted it to apple that day, apple fixed and overnighted it back to me the next, and it was on my doorstep at 10am (31 hours later).

2. ac adapter failed, called apple at 10am, had a new one on my doorstep 10am the next day.

Nope, just had to provide my serial number for my iBook and that was it. They even knew who I was and where to send it because I had registered my iBook when installing Panther :D
