XP_01
Yesterday I finally received my first Mac, an eMac 1GHz Combo with an 80 GB HD upgrade! It's working fine and it's everything I thought it would be but I'm having problems with handling the filetypes so I hope you guys can help me out. 1: How can make QuickTime 6.5 open ALL of my audio files instead of iTunes 4? 2: And how to make Preview open all of my image files instead of Photoshop CS and Imageready CS? Thanks for any help you can give me!
usr.bin
To change file associations for your files: Select the file type your wanting to change and do a Command+I key combination (Command key is the key with the Apple Logo). This will open your file info box. Go to the 'Open With' selection and expand the arrow if it isn't already, and change it there. If you want to change all of the files of that type, click on the "Change All" option. Close the file info box, and your files will now open with your desired application.
