Fred Derf Veteran Posted March 6, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 6, 2004 Under kde 3.15 I was able to go to the control center and edit the kdm boot menu. Presumably there is a .conf file somewhere that can be edited directly. Under kde 3.2's control center that option is gone. Am I missing something? Also, on a related note, I gather that there are other graphical boot/login managers. Specifically xdm or gdm. Does anybody know how to make one of those other boot menus to be the default? For those who care, while the kdm menu looks nicer with 3.2 you need to go though a menu to choose a different desktop environment than your last login. It was a bit faster to drop down the list in kdm 3.15 I need to edit my menu because I pick one environment and it loads another. It's a bit confused. I also need to add XFce4 to the list.
