All you do is delete the file with that program. That makes it alot simpler that windows. Theres no registry or anything. just delete it.

the only way uninstalling apps is tougher in Panther than in XP is if you don't know how to do it.

Once you figure out how to drag an app to the trash...well...then you're set.

It's one of them wonderful things... When you realize how to do it, its like 'Duh!' ... Then its like ... 'Why the hell is a 15 step process on Windows?'. Gotta love Mac OS.

Some apps that have an installer also have an uninstaller as well. I know VISE installers can do both.

But, for the most part, you'll be set by just dragging what you don't want to trash. :p

it's also just as easy to install a program! ;)

windows should learn a thing or two..

I'm really hoping, for the sake of all those windows users out there that programs developed with .NET will follow the guidelines set for .NET to:

1. Not use the registry

2. Keep all program files of an application in the assembly directory (program directory)

3. Keep all settings in the users profile directory.

and this would be nice:

4. Copy apple again by allowing apps to run from a .cab file allowing for drag and drop install/uninstall.

If you want to make sure everything is deleted from the program that you just dragged to the trash, (preferences, etc.) just do a search for the programs name and delete those files as well. OS X won't let you delete anything that will harm the computer unless you enter the Admin password.
