borjaNET
I?m glad that here in neowin the server uses Linux as OS. As you know there are a lot of Linux flavours, so now im curious to know which distro is neowin using. Is it Linux Caldera??? It would be funny... Nichotin
heh. it is important that such a huge community spends its money on more bandwith and more power than on licenses. as far as i know, win2k3 server is more expensive than redhat enterprise server 3. HellBender
Neowin OS... That's a grand idea! Someone should grab a distro that allows you to redistribute it after you modify it, and then modify it with a Neowin skin and some trademark Neowin text.. That would be totally leet. ring0
At least it's not windows :) yeah, because it would be oh-so-terrible for a website based heavily around microsoft and windows to actually be running on a windows os  grow up

BTallack
Does anyone else see the irony of a Windows news site being run on Linux? I suppose it's not truly just a Windows news site anymore, but it's roots are.

I suppose it's not truly just a Windows news site anymore, but it's roots are. Ha ha  Kinda messed up huh? Maybe they run Windows at home, but use Linux here because it's more stable and probably won't crash as much. That way at least the site will be safe. Ouch, wait until Microsoft finds out. :pinch:
