Silvorgold
you talking about the posters at: http://missingbite.com/posters.html I dont know where you could order one in canada, but there are probably some around on ebay, or you could try that link I just gave you. For the G5, are you on a budget? If not, definately get the Dual 1.8 with 1.5GB ram, since you can always add on ram later, but you cant always add-on CPUs, no matter what you go for, you will LOVE it g'luck fellow canuck
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted March 9, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 9, 2004 Dual with 1GB of RAM. You probably would never make use of the 1.5 or higher amount of RAM, so you should save the money if you can. Also, don't buy the RAM through Apple if you want to save some money. Elliott
Yes. A dual 1.8GHz G5 with 1~1.5GB of RAM should be plenty enough. I'm running 1GB with my dual 1.8 and it's extremely fast. More than I need for now really, and I do a lot of design work with Photoshop, InDesign, GoLive, and Illustrator open at the same time.
Chad
You'd be better off getting a dual 1.42 G4 than a single 1.8. OS X does a great job with dual processor setups.
session
hmmm thanks. i do lots of image editing in photoshop (with 300+ dpi photos) tho. so i dunno if i should get more ram with 1.8 or less ram with dual cpu
Elliott
I do all resolutions (300+ dpi for print designs, 72 dpi for web) and I have no troubles. Maybe just a bit longer loading times than 2GB, but once it's in, it's fine.
