s0nic_nz
Hey guys im in a dilemma I bought a second hand mac, and it had panther installed and did not come with any other software, It also did not have os9/classic. Now panther is having some problems-so i basically wanna do a clean install of os x. I got some software install cds from a friend (it was for an ibook) and it says that i can install os x from it for any mac. What i wanna know is how do i install jaguar from those disks? I tried pressing down 'c' at startup (before the apple icon) and basically comes up with 2 small blue icons (the finder icon and a question icon) and after ive held it down for aaages, it basically goes back to starting panther. I plan to buy the panther disks later, but now right now. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated! Thanks guys
Steve
Couldn't u boot into your OS... Just pop the CD, and run the installer? It'll auto restart and begin the installer... Your could try holding option when you turn you Mac on, that'll allow you to select your bootable drive... But I'd of thought holding C would work...
