Sig Image Extensions

Recommended Posts

My website host (my ip) doesnt allow offsite linking of images. To fix this problem I would just rename the image exnteion to something stupid, say signature.rr. Now Neowiin doesnt allow me to use non-standard image extentions, but there has to be a way around this. Look at my signature, its the .rr extnetion, but if I try to change it, it does not allow me to unless its .gif or a standard format, which of course my isp wont allow to be linked...

If you want to change your sig... why not keep the file name the same and just replace the image on the host?

The problem is, he can't link directly to .png's, .jpg's, or .gif's (or so I'm guessing). His ISP wouldn't let him. If he posted

[IMG=http://isp.com/username/image.jpg]

,

It would show up as a broken image.

Yeah, so he made a .rr extention. That's working fine I assume... if you check his sig it's already pointing to something.rr. The problem I gathered is he can't change that to another image with a weird extention because of a recent change on Neowin.
