Fred Derf Veteran Posted March 11, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2004 ok... at the fear of sounding completely stupid and with no idea at all.. which i dont to be fair... where is this console / command prompt .. You can install this through the GUI but I can't be bothered explaining it. Boot from the CD-ROM At the boot prompt (you have 10 seconds to start typing) enter: knoppix 2 You will then be at either a command prompt or it will prompt you to login in. It should be root without a password (just enter). cd /usr/local/bin knx-hdinstall there you go, done.

devilotX
Try this: Let the computer boot to the Desktop same as normal do Cntrl-Alt-F1 to the commandline (note... doesn't seem to be a prompt) Type in either knx-hdinstall for the old style knoppix installer script or type in knoppix-installer to get the new style where you can get a pure debian install.
