Elliott
1. That doesn't seem like much a problem. :p 2. Check the manufacturers' sites? My Phaser 860DP wasn't supported by default in Panther (it was in Jaguar) but Xerox had a PPD for it.

am_fek
You can't add one stick of RAM. G5s require RAM in pairs, I'm assuming that's because the motherboard runs it in dual channels. Basically you need to get an identical stick of RAM for the other bank before the G5 will see them. Edited March 12, 2004 by am_fek

I was under the impression that since it was a single processor machine, I didnt have to do that :<
am_fek
I don't think that has anything to do with it.. if the motherboard runs in dual-channel RAM mode, you have to have pairs of it installed. 3 DIMMs is an odd number, so the 3rd one won't get spotted. You should consult the Setup Guide that came with the G5. I already have, and it basically says the same thing. Just grab another stick, it'll be cheap enough :)

Dashel
Does windows have the correct driver as well? And yes, all G5 use memory in dual channel mode so you must add them in pairs. (Even though the performance increase is still questionable).
