Do you own a domain name? That is the first step.

And for the Dynamic IP thing, you will have to either get a Static IP from your ISP (most ISPs forbid using their service to run a server in their Terms & Conditions), or use a service that will constantly update themselves to match up your Domain Name to your ever-changing IP address. It was posted here before (by kemical????) but I never remember where it is because it doesn't apply to my needs.

Hope this helps a bit...

Yes, I own a domain name thats registered and all that fun stuff and I have a email server setup at another location that I want to tap into for my smtp mail out. Basically this is something for work, we have 2 offices and 1 is on a dedicatied setup Static IP Business Cable 2/3megabits and all I want to do is :

1. Get my linux box to properly see www.mysite.com

2. Route my Email out to smtp.mysite2.com

Is this possible ?

and if so can someone shine some light .. ref. another website or some Docs I can read.

Thanx Again

Still In Need of Help

Ok I have the Dynamic IP stuff all worked out and I can sending and recieve emails and use Outlook from work and elsewheres my only problem now is since I have a dynamic IP some ISP junk this as SPAM or Block it such as Hotmail and AOL.. SO if someone knows a work around for this I would appreciate it. I actually seen the setup on the Axentra Rumba Server.. wich uses IMAP and Courier Email but has a ISP Work around that allows you to send the Email through the ISP but Keeping your someone@myhomedomain.<< spam >>

Thank you for the help.
