Would I be breaking any rules of Neowin if I tried to sell a Cisco switch on Neowin's discussion boards? Just dont want to get my account terminated over something like that.

Thanks,

flish.. there used to be a forum for it but it was barely used so it was merged with General Discussion and all selling can happen here

on 2nd thought, moved to site and forum issues. sorry for the confusion on that colstrip. you can create a thread to sell items in General Discussion.

I would like to see one too, but with some nice rules to go along with it like the rules BBR uses (ie, must post prices, no cross posting (ebay+forums), 24hr bump rule, etc). It may not be very active but it would atleast be easier to spot and look for items that are for sale/trade.

I agree the community is getting pretty big now.. approaching 50,000 registered members and I think that many people would like to sell items and others looking to pick up a cheap buy.

So i for one would be all for a forum dedicated to selling and buying items

^ Yeah I do agree with you but some people who are looking to buy something might like to buy it from someone they know a little better and can trust a little more, just a suggestion though

I would recommend making a thread to sell them in Internet, Network & Security since most IT Professionals visit that forum on Neowin the most, and I don't think that any experts that specialise in Jokes or Polls would have any use for a Cisco 24-port switch :p

I would also like to see a thread for something like this.

What is wrong with this?

:pinch: Well say i said on here i would have it for ?20. He could put it on ebay, and it could go higher than ?20, thus he is left with a descision, and as a bid on ebay is a legal contract, he would have to give it to the ebay bidder

Yeah, kinda removes the point of selling it on the forums, either sell it here or on ebay not bot;);)

@ snippet1, I wouldn't mind that just as long as the seller isn't accepting bids from the forum just from ebay.

Hmmm...again..we should try to open another forum on trading. Hotdeals will be more than fun to do :p . Moreover, selling and trading stuffs sounds great to me   .
