SFNE Freak
Hello, Does anybody know if you can add usernames to be used with the FTP access feature in OS X in the Sharing Pane? I'd like to stick with using features built-into the OS if possible. Thanks.
SPeedY_B
Something like this: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...040303200623478 ?
sebaz
the problem i believe, if you want to use the built in Ftp service, is that you are gonna have to create a user account in whole, to let them access it. If you use a third party alternative you can create accounts that will just be use within the app and the ftp access.
frod
i just create a new os x user and limit them all the way and delete everything in their folder. only problem is that it allows them to go backwards in the directory tree so they can see the contents of root if they wanted to.. apa1exakis
I am not sure if this is the same thing but I am looking for an area that is something similiar to network places where you can create a folder that you open and it shows your webserver. Does anyone know what im talking about? Is it possible to do this in osx?
