Slike
Hello, I succeeded in getting online with Mandrake 10 (don't ask me how... ;) ). I'm running it on my laptop with a screen resolution of 1400x1050, and everything's set up correctly. Font's are just fine in all KDE-Apps. But in other (not-native KDE) apps such as mozilla and amsn, fonts are awfuly BIG. I just can't find where to change this size... any ideas? Thx, Slike
kongit
go into gnome and edit the font settings there. then logout out gnome, save the settings and load back into kde. tell me if that works.
MrStaticVoid
Why would he want to log out to run a program that he could run in KDE? If you have GNOME installed, Slike, run gnome-font-properties and change the sizes. While that may work, I have a feeling that it is actually a DPI setting that is out of whack. I experienced the same problem when experimenting with Fluxbox. GTK apps had huge fonts. I changed the DPI from 96 to 72 and everything looked good again. kongit
firefox uses gtk2. The easiest way I could think of to change gtk2 settings is to log into gnome. running gnome-font-properties is another method. but I am too stupid to think of that. also you might want to check what your screen is supposed to be using for resolution. I use 96, but then I am on a laptop. Most crts use 72.
Slike
If you have GNOME installed, Slike, run gnome-font-properties and change the sizes. This works indeed :) But it doesn't affect programs like amsn... where can I change the font-settings for such a programs? Thx, Slike
