AMD60305
I havn't seen many people using this "Feature" of Panther. What it lets you do is make little shortcuts in the finder bar at the top of the window, and you can move the icons any way you want by customizing the bar, i found this out when accidently moving a file, you can drag files and folders to it, it is just like the sidebar without text. Has anyone noticed this before? Also in address book if you hold down the option key, you can see what groups that person selected is in, Edited March 16, 2004 by AMD60305
the evn show
This has been standard issue for a long time - even jaguar had it. You can toss applescripts up their too! Sorry to rain on your parade, but maybe some newbies will find out something they would have otherwise missed.
Elliott
The sidebar can be semi-textless too. You can drag it to only the icon-width, but when you roll over the icons little pop-up bubbles come up telling you what the item is. Neato, eh? I also found out that you can drag any folder onto the Printer Setup Utility and have it print the contents of the folder. A blast from the past if anybody remembers that OS 9 feature. :D
