OK, what I want to learn is to make icons the most. I dont know how to make it cause it's always either messed up or ugly. So pelase if anybody can teach me or point me to the tutorials for icons, because I have photoshop 6.0 and wish to learn making icons and adding shiny effects on them! thanks

1: "Icon" is a somewhat generic term. Would have been clearer (to me) if you'd posted that it was help on creating "program" or "Windows" icons you were looking for.

2. If it's 32bit color XP icons (I'll assume that by your user text), the MS Developer Network site has a good introduction to it:

3. You might find it easier to use a dedicated icon editor, many which can be found with the search text "create ico" on the site I linked to in my first post.
