MrA
I know this is a stupid suggestion, but why not do a linux from scratch. You'd have a fully customizable system.
Bling3k12
Try looking at QNX... http://www.qnx.com/ I know that they used to have a distro so small to fit on a Floppy and they're widely used in Embedded Devices, so they have to be small. kongit
I think it is a bios option. If you can update your bios you should be able to boot from usb.

Shadrack
what would you do with such a small distro? I like MandrakeMove's solution. Have linux w/ XFree on a CD and use your USB key for personal files and configuration goodness.
markwolfe Veteran Posted March 18, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 18, 2004 what would you do with such a small distro? Almost anything you can do on a larger one. Email, networking, system administration, data recovery, even web browsing (via elinks or some such text browser) if you wanted to. Linux is very powerful, even when stripped down. Perhaps especially when you consider how much you can strip it down and have the functions you need.
Nichotin
on 64 mb, you can easially fit xfree and mozilla firebird, along with a lot of other applications for mail, ftp etc.
