MrStaticVoid Posted March 23, 2004 Share Posted March 23, 2004 2) Your Favorite Media Player ... -Video: XINE Big props to the Xine devs. I know there have been century long wars over Xine vs. Mplayer, but I just want to say how much I love that program. I have never seen another video player that will do AC3 passthrough (S/PDIF) with one checkbox and DVD menus on Linux, while maintaining its ability to play almost everything. And because it works off of the same Windows DLLs that Mplayer does, it can play the same formats. Furthermore, if you watch any really interlaced stuff (anime comes to mind) on computers then you would appreciate its 6 (iirc) deinterlacing filters. The linear blend one is near *perfect*.
