ChrisJM Posted March 21, 2004 Share Posted March 21, 2004 I have Mandrake 10, and i have just bought a new Hard Drive so wanna try out another linux on it... what Disto is the best for me to try? i want a graphical based one but not extrenely simple to use and not mandrak. Have you looked at distrowatch.com? Perhaps SuSE, or a Debian-based distro? Maybe Slack. I like slackware andn gentoo alot, but my printer won't work with them....I am still trying to figure out how to make it though....I know it is possible. Once I can figure out how to get my printer to work in slackware I am going to switch to gentoo as I have found that anything that will work on slackware (excluding tgzs) will most of the time work with gentoo if I have gentoo set right.
