I downloaded the FireFox binaries and run the launching script from my home directory. FireFox doesn't even have an installer. It will run fine from the user's home directory. The folder method's a lot more practical even on windows systems (though they now have a windows installer)

The folder method's a lot more practical even on windows systems (though they now have a windows installer) Except that it doesn't integrate into the debian menu system so when I switch to fluxbox or something then I can't launch firefox unless I open the shell first (and even then I have to keep the shell open while it is running). I'm sure that eventually FireFox will make it's way into the apt-get system like Mozilla.
