Groovedude
doesn't seem like a thing Neowin would do :| although its my homepage anyway.. :p lol

Steven P. Administrators Posted March 23, 2004 Administrators Share Posted March 23, 2004 we dont have scripts that change your Homepage settings for any browser. I suggest you do a scan using a anti-spyware program.

maplecookie Veteran Posted March 23, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 23, 2004 i agree about this coming from neowin. i know it's not neowin directly and you guys would never ever do it on purpose, but it's happening to some of us. and it's ONLY happening at neowin i'm sorry neobond! lol i still love you, but it's really coming from neowin maybe the spyware is being installed on neowin, or something, but it's coming from here
Zonsolo
Just so you all know, yes, I use both IE and firefox. Just IE is getting hijacked. And I do run ad-aware. Run it, get clean, log into my other favorite sites, close, open again... nothing, run adaware, 0 items. log into neowin, run it again... get 6 new items. close IE... open IE, get new homepage with about 6 pop-ups. I also believe it is an add that neowin is using and not neowin itself.
Sparkler
yes the website IS neowin though im sure not deliberatly. i think it is one of the ads. btw should be in site/forum issue's.
OptiPlex
It is the ads. If your settings are changed, try to grab the ad URL so the admins can block it.
devilman2590
i'm sorry neobond! lol i still love you, but it's really coming from neowin Flish has been replaced :p. This happened to me once, but I don't think it was neowin related.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted March 23, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 23, 2004 pshh.. 10 to 1 odds, if he's getting his browser hijacked, he's using MS: Internet Explorer. it's good ot see you contribute so much to the thread. however, you are in the wrong forum....you should have posted that at www.antiMSbandwagon.com anyways, you should try to run adaware, spybot and even maybe hijack this.
