chriskober
I have a laptop with a resolution of 1600x 1200. I am running win xp and all my icons and fonts are tiny where it actually hurts the eyes to read . I tried adjusting the resolution, font size, icon size and everything else i could think of. Nothing helps. When i change the resolution the font gets real blurry. I also tried setting the clear type. and still no good. Any Help would be great Thank You Chris
aco Veteran Posted February 20, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 20, 2002 What graphics card do you have on the laptop? Have you tried trying a few different driver versions? Also, you might want to try a program called PowerStrip. It is a graphics and resolution tweaking utility which gives you alot of control over your display. http://www.entechtaiwan.com/ps.htm

EmuZombie Veteran Posted February 20, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 20, 2002 be careful that program aco mentioned... I don't know if it's the case on laptops, but with a normal monitor there's a risk of perminate damage if you set a resolution it doesn't like. Also, if it comes to nothing working, you could try playing with the dpi setting in the advanced section of the display properties. (but in my experience, this is extremely buggy, even in xp still, so make sure you set a restore point before you play around with this and use this only as a last resort)
