Kenno
Hi, I just got Debian installed. I'm wondering if there's any good BT client for linux. I've been googling around, but couldn't find any one specific, or how to install it. Can someone help me please?

MR_Candyman
well, there's Azureus, which is the easiest as it runs on java... There's Shadow's, there's ABC (which is my fav but wxpython can be VERY annoying), there's others too, but those are the only ones I care about
Kenno
I'm using ABC on Windows. I don't know that it can be installed in Linux as well. I'll give both of them a try. Thank you.

Jaded
the reason the cursor doesnt move is because its most likely not being echoed, which is normal, especialy when switching to root

Kenno
I can't run Azureous on my box either. I'm not sure why... though I have java installed. I'm trying to run ctorrent now.
MR_Candyman
you can't run azureus? I suggest posting on their forums, as there is no reason it shouldn't work
colordeficiency
Why no one's using the Official? typing btdownloadcurses.py in shell does it.
MR_Candyman
the official is lacking in some features people (like myself) want.
MulletRobZ
In order to use BitTorrent correctly, you need wxPython and wxGTK. I know there's the wxGTK package for Slackware, but I can't find a Slackware package for wxPython. Mandrake 10 includes BitTorrent, just to let you know.
