Ridgeburner
This might seem like a silly question, but, it's my first "serious" venture into Linux (aside from a couple of Redhat 8/9 installs and Live-on-CD distros) I'd like to know what you guys thing the best linux distro would be to run on a Pentium 100mhz, 1 gig HD, and 64 megs of ram. I'd prefer a GUI if i can, instead of something that runs primarily in command line. Not sure what distro to use and to toy with, I won't be doing any serious work on it, just learning the basics etc. Yes, I know I can install any linux distro in VmWare/Virtual PC, but i'd rather have another standalone machine to play with it on. Any suggestions?
CaKeY
DamnSmall or Hard Puppy would work well.
Ridgeburner
Wow, just noticed that this POS computer can't even boot from a CD-Rom lol hmm, anyway around this problem? I suppose I could use a boot disk to boot into DOS, but, would that work?
