Slike
Hello, I installed Mandrake Linux (9.2, kernel 2.4.22-10mdk) on my laptop. I've been exploring it during a couple of years on a desktop pc, but this is the first time on a laptop. I enabled ACPI support, and everything seems quite fine (laptop behaviour is normal). When I'm running WinXP, and I'm closing the laptop, it suspends and I can walk away with it. When I close my laptop using MDK, it just goes on, doesn't suspend. How and where can I enable these actions? Thx, Slike

I tryed the default app that came with SuSe but it wont work. any other apps ? Well, it should work. type "apm -s" in a terminal. Does that work? If THAT doesn't work, then you're kernel is probably not compiled with APM. edit: You to PROBABLY have something funky with your ACPI stuff.... you can use this as an example so you can see where you're going with your own... http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=8...ghlight=standby also edit: you probably have good reference HERE: http://acpi.sourceforge.net/
