markwolfe Veteran Posted March 25, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 25, 2004 Sure... You got Flash working... It was the only one of the three you are installing that I had heard of! :p As for the cursor not moving when you su, that is normal. Those password characters are not echoed back to the console as sort of a 'security' thing I guess. (though nearby people may be able to hear and count the keyboard clicks... ;)
LordHatrus
yeah, (most?) UNIXs, as well as UNIX-like OS will have no little xxxxxx when you type your password. It's better, more secure, because, for instance, when someone was logging in windows 2k while using a projector, I could visually see how many little xxxx's there were, and I was actually later able to guess their password. as for azaerus... it has to be the easiest to set up bt client out there... (no offense intended) http://azureus.sourceforge.net/howto_linux.php ^ you read this? I cant help much with appolon, but you ARE using the all-in-one installer, right? its supposed to be easier.
