markwolfe Veteran Posted March 26, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 26, 2004 I use the "lock screen" feature of KDE (and have the screensaver require a password). However, when I enter an incorrect password (like one of my work passwords, or a plain typo) it takes 5 seconds of sitting there staring at it before it allows me to retry. Is there any way to reduce the time on this annoying delay? (not that I make a lot of typos... )
MR_Candyman
probably...i can't see that being system intensive, so it must be a programmed delay... edit a file...which one? who knows?
cpugeniusmv
the reason it's there is to prevent brute force password attempts. you will notice that delay in a console login as well. how to change/remove it? i have no idea.
