the evn show
It's a standard 2.5" notebook drive - if you can find a bigger one and put it into the case then it should work. I'm not sure about the iBook, but on the bottom inside case of my TiBook there are laser-etched instructions for how to remove the hard-disk. sebaz
You can upgrade the HD. That been said, i heard its a pain in the ass to put one in, and also it voids your warranty.
Southern Patriot
Yep, Apple really buried the drives in newer (all white) iBooks. I tried to help a friend put a new CD drive in his G3 iBook and it took nearly 45 minutes to take the d**n thing apart enough to get the drive out. In my Pismo, it's about a 5 minute job (tops!) to swap out a hard drive and about 2 minutes to swap out a CD drive (including rebooting!). From a technician's standpoint, the best notebooks Apple ever made were the Wallstreet/Lombard/Pismo PowerBooks. Easy to work on, and nearly unlimited upgrade potential (well, up to a 900Mhz G3 or a 550Mhz G4 at least).
