hurting101
CMD > ipconfig ? I change my IP from going ipconfig /release ...then turning off router/modem thing for 30 seconds and then ipconfig /renew
YahoKa
Do the words RTFM mean anything to anyone anymore?
ahodes1
You can change your IP in the Network and Dial-Up options, but it must match the IP your ISP gave you. You can renew a DHCP address also but that is server assigned. In any scenario you must have it changed with your ISP.
aco Veteran Posted February 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 21, 2002 If your ISP gives you a static IP address, then releasing and renewing won't change it. It would have to be done at their end.
