Using Audio Chat with Windows

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

My brother is in Indonesia and he is using a powerbook. Is there any apps out there that can let me make a voice conversation with him? MSN Messenger doesnt do the job. I have tried AIM (Ichat in Mac), Yahoo Messenger...all of them dont work  . Have I dont something wrong or PC and MAC just can't communicate each other?

Thanks

Yahoo is the only option that should work. iChat -> Aim audio doesn't work (unless I'm missing something). I would check your router settings if Yahoo's not working.

Thanks timdoor. I just dont know how it was...but it didnt work when I tried that. Does the Yahoo in MAC use different ports as Yahoo in PC? Because I can talk OK with Yahoo messenger for PC installed there. But, when he uses Yahoo Messenger for MAC..that didnt work

Yahoo's audio chat does NOT work between the Mac and Windows. Video does, but audio doesn't. I use it every day, so I'm certain of this. As for AIM/iChat, make sure you are using the latest versions of both.

I have tried to keep both updated. But still no luck, Is there anything that you can recommend me?
