Canada WON!!!!

Woo!

Predictions?

Canada will beat Belarus ...

Russia will beat the US (nothing against the US, they've been the best looking team in the tournament so far but the way Khabibulin played today and the speed of the Russian forwards is too much for the American's D ... they just don't have the footspeed. The US forwards are as good as anybody's but the Russians speed will be too much for everyone but Rafalski and Poti).

Russia versus Canada? Wow ... if it happens ... it will be one of those games: 1972, 1984 (Bossy's winner in the Canada Cup semi), 1987 (Canada Cup final ... best of three ... first two are split 6-5 in OT and the third game tied 5-5 in the dying minutes when Gretzky leads a 3 on 2 with Lemieux and the world's greatest decoy Larry Murphy ... Lemieux scores!). This game could be one of those classic Canada - Russia matches ... wow!

Good luck to the US on Friday, but I am pulling for a Russia - Canada final simply because when there's a game with both Canada's best and Russia's best and there's something on the line ... you get a hockey game that no two other teams anywhere can match. It could be the best hockey game of the millenium and it's only 2002!

Go Canada Go!

Well

Woman's Division...

USA vs Canada

USA Takes The Gold

So i'm taking in the Men's Division

USA vs Canada

USA Wins Gold, and then lights the olympic caldron 20 years from now , Canada takes the Silver and wayne gretzky bitches for the next 50 years to the press that it was their fault that his superstar team didn't win, and Russia Beats The Crap out of Belarus, for the Bronze causing a war between the Russian Countries...

:D

Canada will beat Belarus, but Russia will beat the USA! But I got a sinking feeling that if that's what the finals are going to be, Canada's going to lose. :( Why? Russia has almost always clobbered Canada in hockey! At least in Men's hockey, since the women's team clobbered them 7-0 earlier at Salt Lake! :)

the russians are not so good..they're bad and they were only lucky the last game they won

my favorite: canada vs us! it's unimportant for me who will win, as far they are not the russians or from belaruss.....LOL

Maybe the finals should be USA and Canada with Canada winning the gold or else we'll have to be subjected to another one of Gretzky's Olympic sized ego enhanced tantrums.

Jeez...Initially, I was glad to see he was leading the canadian team, but he came off as such a spoiled little brat that i hope he'll take the ice so someone can cross-check him in that big mouth of his!

Anyway, predictions. Canada has the easier draw with Belarus, so they should easily win. Russia/USA should be a great game unless the Russkies pack up their toys and go home. If they stay, that game is a toss up. Either way it sets up a great gold medal game with either USA/Canada or Russia/Canada.

GO USA!
