menace inc
How do I disable opening a zip file as folder or directory in Win XP? I saw a old post on how but I can't find it anymore. It is a command I would type in "Run" Thanks in advance.

Roger H. Veteran Posted February 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 21, 2002 why the hell would you want to do that? It's the best thing about XP being able to browse ZIP files like normal folders.... oh and what about them RAR and and ISO and BIN icons? Did someone already post them.. can someone link them if they already did in ICO format :) rar icon = red zip folder iso icon = just like XP CDRW or DVD icons in mycomputer but with ISO written there instead. BIN = same as above with the word BIN instead.

menace inc
I can't run the .exe file in opening as zip directory. With WinZip, I can run anything within :) Originally posted by SHoTTa35 why the hell would you want to do that? BroChaos Veteran Posted February 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 21, 2002 i can't remember exactly, but it's something like menace said. xp treats the zip file like a folder and not a zip file or something, i can't remember what, but something because of that was bothering a lot of people. like they couldn't select just the folder, it would open it up for the files inside. lol, i can't remember, i'm just gonna stop trying now:P
