michael.b
I found that the only way. I have the wireless keyboard. Mine wasn't in bad shape... as it still is fairly new... but there was one piece of hair that bothered me to no end and an air compressor didn't to the job to force it out... so I decided to open it up. You have nothing to worry about. Just be careful and take it easy and you should be more than fine. It's all hard plastic, except for a piece of film that connects one part to the other. At least in the wireless keyboard... So get your self a small allen wrench and make it look new again. :)
macman87
mines really in a bad shape as well :( theres 2 screws on mine ( i have the white one the comes with the imacs) at the bottom of the keyboard but i can't find a screwdriver to open it... i seems everything i have is too big for it :(
michael.b
I don't know if it's the same deal with your keyboard... but the wireless doesn't use standard screwdriver fittings. They use allen wrench screws... best thing maybe, go to your local hardware store and bring the keyboard with you and ask them for something that will fit the screws. I don't have my keyboard with me, but if I do know correctly, a hexagonal shape is the thing that lets you know you're going to be needed the allen wrench. Good luck. danbalsh
Phillip - the screws on the bottom require a torque screwdriver, I'm not sure what size tho. Now that you've started this thread Steve I think it's time for me to clean mine :D

Steve
Thanks. Varkai - You call it an 'Alien Wrench' ? Haha, that is an interesting one, i've never heard that one before! I hadn't previously looked @ them, but they look like Torx Screws... I thought i'd need an 'Alan Key' but ... oh well ... haha, all these weird definitions... I might have a look in a bit, its bugging me big time... Bling3k12
If you wanna just clean behind the keys, they pop right off with a little screwdriver or butter knife. Just make sure to remember where they go, take a pic of your keyboard, or remove them and lay them out appropriate to the Engerland arrangement :p It's no problem, the Pro Keyboard is the easiest keyboard I've ever used to clean. If you're talking about the stuff behind the plastic, yeah you'll have to get some Torx or Hex screwdrivers, I think that's what they were.
