evan
Hi, due to the network problem, the only choice left for me is to first download all the packages I need for dropline gnome installation, and perform an installation from the hard disk by dropline-installer. but I met two problems during the downloading. 1. is there any faster way to download those packages? otherwise, I have to click on every package on the SourceForge.net website, and wait for a few seconds to start the download for EVERY package there. 2. I saw some packages are basically the same, I mean they only different in the version of the package, can I just download the latest version of that package? cuz I think that would make the whole process much faster. thank you for your help! waxing
you could open this address in a ftp client and queue each package http://aleron.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/dropline-gnome/
Fred Derf Veteran Posted March 30, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 30, 2004 due to the network problem, the only choice left for me is to first download all the packages I need for dropline gnome installation, and perform an installation from the hard disk by dropline-installer. I don't know what distro you use but Gnome 2.6.0-2 is now available through apt-get on Debian. I don't know if this makes it automatically available for apt4rpm or not. Incidentally 2.6.0-2 fixed my clock panel applet problem that occurred in 2.6.0-1.
