(so far i got it connected to the net and internet is working) btw, how can i reinstall the OS - and ahmmm how can i find out which OS is installed?
Bling3k12
To reinstall you should have the CD's that came with the iMac, but if not, any retail version of OS 8, 9, or X should work on it (although OS X would probably be quite slow) To find out what OS you're using, click on the Apple logo in the top left of the screen and click About This Mac. There you'll find the OS version and how much ram you have.
