Recommended Posts

well, today i found in our IT department an old imac and thought i should "adopt" it - so for now i own a imac pretty old one (iMac G3 333 64 megs ram - i think  )

since this is the first time ever i even touch a mac i can't even tell if the specs are correct, lol.

for now i am trying to figure out how this thingie works... (so far i got it connected to the net and internet is working)

btw, how can i reinstall the OS - and ahmmm how can i find out which OS is installed?

To reinstall you should have the CD's that came with the iMac, but if not, any retail version of OS 8, 9, or X should work on it (although OS X would probably be quite slow)

To find out what OS you're using, click on the Apple logo in the top left of the screen and click About This Mac. There you'll find the OS version and how much ram you have.
