kemical
ive got a seemingly simple question that i may be a little confused about, when i upgrade my kernel using the alsa built in modules, there would be no need for me to install the actual alsa-driver again would it? was going through gentoo's docs on installing alsa, i have it working fine now but i am curious as to if i need to do anything with alsa once i recompile my kernel again if i am only using the built in drivers that come with the kernel? You shouldn't have to do anything more to get it to work, with alsa in the kernel the standalone driver shouldn't be used.
kongit
you don't with gentoo. Oh and the rc3 is looking nice, but I still have some problems with 2.6.5 and hotplug.
