I've owned this for about 6 months and perhaps used it six hours (for T-MOBILE HotSpot). I bought it like new to use with, the best of the three I could choose from, and the screen is perfect. Not a scratch or nick to be found.

Hilights: * BRAND NEW BATTERY IN SEALED BOX! iGo Brand * Includes new Wi-Fi 802.11b Modem Card - works perfectly with T-MOBILE HotSpot * Includes sturdy leather case with umpteen pockets * Includes Apple ADB mouse (trackpad works fine...just not as well as a mouse)

Features:

* 250 MHz PowerPC G3 Processor

* 288 MB of Installed RAM

* 4 GB Hard Drive

* 13.1" TFT Display - No Dead Pixels!

* Genuine Apple CDROM Drive

* Floppy Drive Module

* Fresh install of OS 9.2.1

* All Ports in Working Order

* 2 Type II PC Card Slots

* Upgradeable to G4!!!

* Apple Power Adapter

Bad Things:

* No original system disks I can include

* Don't have the original box

What do u guys think?

don't buy it. ;)

if you are just gonna use it for surfing, go with a used PC laptop. this thing is way too slow for anything and you don't want to use Mac OS 9 really.

aaron901 is right, if u r just going to use it for surfing the net u r better of with a PC, OS 9 is (N) no good, and if u r planing on installing OS X, I make sure is the 2nd generation G3 powerbook because if is not, I don't think u can run OS X on it.

Deffinitely do not buy it, if you look around enough and be patient, you could get a nice 800mhz iBook for around $500-$600 easily on Ebay.

Do not buy that laptop you will be ripped off and will regret it, go for something else, it may be a little more expensive but in the long run you will be satisfied. Even for browsing the web that laptop is pretty minimal compared to the laptops of today.

OS 9 is like windows 95 man :s if you want to get a nice little mac laptop to tinker with get one of the 500mhz g3 12inch ibooks that are floating around...they have OSX (one of its 3 incarnations at least) and just for basic stuff they'll work okay

you said "No original system disks" then dont buy it. if doesnt come with that or a manual then screw you can do better if you dig deep enough. trust me.

alright you guys are right i can do better than that

have an HP Pavillion laptop, 900MHz, 256MB Ram, 10GB drive, DVD drive,

> internal network plug and modem, I also have a wireless pcmcia card

i can get that (yes i know its not a sexy mac) but that will run me 300-350 from this one guy.

hes throwing in a wireless card and i think its worth it i can always get a bigger hd?

i emailed him back asking for conditions and battery life and such.

still waiting for the email and i guess this is no longer belongs in the mac forum but ohh well...

for a little more you can build your own pc and it will be a lot faster than the mac and the hp combined

did you even read any of the posts is a laptop not a desktop.

laptops are very expensive to build
